About Marlowe and Sunday
Marlowe and Sunday grew from a simple belief: taking care of yourself shouldn’t begin when you board a plane—or end when you return home.
What began as Live To Travel, a mission to help busy people experience the restorative benefits of meaningful travel, has grown into something more: a place for making room for rest, exploration, connection, wellness, and joy—away and at home.
We’re simply making room for more.

Meet Tamara, Founder of Marlowe and Sunday
Exploring the world since: 1985
Based in: United States
Hi, I’m Tamara—and my love of travel didn’t start with luxury resorts or bucket-list destinations.
It started as a kid, primarily traveling to visit family throughout the southern United States, along with summer church trips to Disney World. Then came London and Paris with my high school French class.
That trip changed everything.
My first international experience sparked a curiosity that has stayed with me ever since. I wanted to see and experience as much of the world as I could—the landscapes, cultures, food, people, and experiences that make every place different.
Fortunately, when I got married, my husband was a willing participant and happy to share the adventure.
Travel Through Every Season of Life
After the birth of our twins, I became what I affectionately call our Home Engineer. We were raising two babies on one income, but I wasn’t ready to stop exploring. I simply had to get more creative about how we traveled.
When our boys were just nine months old, we strapped them into baby-carrier backpacks and headed to London and Scotland.
And it was AWESOME.
Eventually, I returned to work, we welcomed a baby girl, and my technology career continued to grow. As I climbed the corporate ladder, life became extremely busy. Finding time for myself, maintaining connections, and traveling regularly became harder.
That’s when another part of who I am kicked in: I’m a problem solver.
I started learning how to make travel work within the realities of time, money, family, and a very full calendar. That led me to travel hacking—and eventually to nearly one million airline miles, plus countless hotel loyalty points that helped our family travel for significantly less and sometimes for free.
And really, who doesn’t love free?
When Technology Meets Travel—and Something More
After more than 30 years in technology, including software development and leading technology initiatives, I’m now bringing that problem-solving experience together with a lifetime of travel through Marlowe and Sunday.
I don’t just want to tell you where I’ve been. I want to create practical resources, digital products, software, recommendations, and inspiration that make it easier to find time for yourself, plan with less stress, and experience more of the things that help you feel restored, connected, and alive.
And I’m definitely not done.
I still travel every chance I get. I still travel hack. And I’m always on the lookout for a great spa experience. Sometimes a 24-hour reset is exactly what you need.
I’m also working toward visiting all seven continents—yes, Antarctica is on the list—and the United States’ 250th birthday has reignited my goal of experiencing all 50 states. I’m getting close, with fewer than 20 left.
But here’s perhaps the most important thing I’ve learned:
I’m still figuring out the balance, too.
I’ve been a daughter, student, traveler, wife, Home Engineer, mother, technology executive, and now entrepreneur. Making room for yourself looks different in every season of life.
What matters is giving yourself permission to do it.
So stay awhile. Explore with me. Try something new. Take the trip—or take the day off. Find your version of a 24-hour reset.
Let’s continue figuring out how to make a little more room for wellness, longevity, and joy in the lives we’re already living.
Because every day deserves a little bit of Sunday.
